Photo of the day: May 30th, 2017

It was one of those days where the cloud hangs heavy but high, a day full of fine drizzle, tones and greyscale. We walked with silent feet, over glistening rocks and beside crystal clear streams, our eye drinking in greens of leaves and grasses, the dampened expectation of a glade, the quick flit of a stoat into long reeds.

We stood, boots soaked in rivulets but far from our attention, as we were captivated by swallows diving, reflections appearing for ne’er a second over the silver surface of the grey water. And the mist dropped lower, enveloping us in those fine grey fingers, and finally we headed for home.
